What is Meditation?

Our practice begins with mindfulness, the foundation of developing awareness in each moment. By engaging fully with our sensations, thoughts, and feelings with curiosity and acceptance, mindfulness grounds us, bringing both peace and resilience into daily life. From this foundation, meditation deepens our insight and understanding by gently examining the workings of the mind. Through mindful observation, we see beyond appearances, uncovering the underlying causes of our thoughts and behaviours, fostering self-awareness, clarity, and wisdom.

We can expand this insight to include our connection to the natural world. Brining ecological awareness we can align our actions with values and ethics that support both personal growth and the planet's wellbeing. This practice brings the inner and outer worlds together, helping us recognise our interdependence with nature and our capacity to respond compassionately and responsibly to the environmental challenges we face.
